City Academy School

Upgrade and refurbishment of the existing heating, cooling, ventilation systems to ensure the buildings new usage as a school was fit for purpose. 6 story building in Birmingham town centre.

• Early enabling works moving of existing gas main into the school to make way for new carpark entry and basement area.
• Refurbish and modify existing chilled beams and chilled water systems to meet the new configuration of the building
• Upgrade and refurbish the AHU’s and ventilation systems to ensure the new ventilation requirements were met in line with the building bulletins and schools specifications
• Upgrade of heating systems across the school to ensure adequate heating and meeting the new configuration of the school
• Upgrade and modification of the controls systems to ensure the modified systems were controlled correctly and now operating as per the new set points and parameters
• New general lighting and emergency lighting system throughout
• New fire alarm system throughout, installed and brought on line whilst maintain the existing system to ensure the fire detection systems and life safety is maintained across the site.
